Bryson City – The Maroon Devils started slow on their first game back from Spring Break. Swain found themselves down 4-3 heading into the bottom of the 2nd inning, over the next 3 innings Swain outscored Hiwassee Dam 20-1 to post a 23-5 win over the Eagles.
Lots of stars at the plate, as the Maroon Devils posted 24 hits in 34 at bats. Gaige Southards had 4 hits and scored 4 runs to go along with 2 rbi. Dawson Chambers, Damian Lossiah, and Hunter Call each had 3 hits for the Devils. Lossiah, Ian Brooks and Daniel Ammons had 4 rbi each. Chambers and Tanner Howell scored 4 runs. Ian Brooks, Daniel Ammons, Jake Waldroup, Caleb Taylor and Jesse Waldroup all had 2 hits each in the win.
On the hill Colby Taylor, Dawson Chambers and Brady Kirkland combined to toss the 5 innings for Swain.
