Bryson City – Robbinsville scored 5 runs in the top of the 4th on Friday to push their lead to 8-2. First place and unbeaten in conference Robbinsville made those runs hold up in fending off a pesky Lady Devil squad, taking the win 10-6. Swain scored first, plating 2 runs in the bottom of the 1st inning.
For the Lady Devils Kenzie Eagleman went 2-3 driving in a pair of runs and scoring a pair as well. Stacey Griggs went 2-4 and drove in a run as well. Savana Smith drove in a pair of runs with a double.
The Lady Devils committed four costly errors in the field. Stacey Griggs gave up 3 earned runs, while walking 4 to go along with 12 hits, she struck out 5.
