Special to the Maroon Devils Network – Senior Kyndall Cochran reached a milestone this past week that has never been accomplished at Swain County High School. She scored her 100th soccer goal of her career for the Maroon Devils against Highlands. Cochran scored 16 her Freshman year, 31 her Sophomore year, 32 her Junior year and so far 25 her Senior year, halfway through the season. Currently she is second in the state at the 1A level with her 25 goals scored this year. On Thursday night, Cochran was presented with a soccer ball signed by current and past players recognizing her accomplishments. “One thing that I found interesting from some of the comments written on the ball is how much of an inspiration Kyndall is to her teammates.” said Head Coach Scott Cline. “You could see how much she has touched the lives of each of the players and how she has helped them become better soccer players.”
