Bryson City – Andrews scored first on Tuesday, but it would be all that the Devils would give up. Swain outscored the Wildcats 11-1 at home to take the Smoky Mountain Conference win. The Maroon Devils scored 2 runs in the 2nd, 3rd and 5th inning to go with a 5 run 4th inning.
The Maroon Devils got a big day from Caleb Taylor, Hunter Call and Brady Kirkland. Call went 2-3 and scored twice with a double to his credit. Caleb Taylor also went 2-3, adding 4 rbi to a pair of runs scored and a double. Kirkland pounded out 3 hits going 3-3 and driving in a pair of runs.
On the hill it was Colby Taylor, who pitched a complete game. Taylor scattered 4 hits and walked only 1 while striking out 8 in earning the win.
