Bryson City – Under bitter cold conditions the visiting Rosman Tigers scored 4 runs in the 3rd inning on their way to an 8-4 win over Swain. The Maroon Devils rallied back against the Tigers and the cold to score a pair of runs and pull to within 3 at 6-3.
Ian Brooks and Connor Hyatt had a pair of hits each for the Devils. Brooks drove in a pair of runs, while Colby Taylor scored a pair of runs after walking and being hit by a pitch. Gaige Southards, Carson Taylor, Damian Lossiah and Brady Kirkland all had a base hit.
Southards pitched four and two thirds innings for Swain, yielding only 3 earned runs while striking out 4. Colby Taylor and Brady Kirkland worked the final two plus innings for the Devils.
