Bryson City – Tuesday the Maroon Devils held off a furious 4th quarter comeback attempt to down the Black Knights 85-74 in conference play. Despite fighting foul trouble most of the night, Swain was able to overcome two Robbinsville comeback attempts and pull away in the games final minutes to take the win.
Senior Bradley Vestal led all scorers with a game high 25 points. Vestal made good on 6 of 8 free throws down the stretch to help ice the game. Judaiah Littlejohn finished with 22 points to go along with 5 assists, while Jesse Waldroup had 15 points and 7 rebounds for the Devils.
