Bryson City – Smoky Mountain used a 7-0 run over the final 3 minutes of the game to pull away and take a 71-64 win. Home standing Swain, after trailing for much of the game, charged back to tie the score at 56 with 6 minutes remaining in the game. Following a Nick Millsaps lay in the Maroon Devils took a brief 58-56 lead. Then Bradley Vestal hit a pair of free throws to tie the game again at 64, but the Maroon Devils would not score again.
For Swain Bradley Vestal led the way with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Judaiah Littlejohn chipped in 16 points, while Zeke Bradley had 15 points 9 rebounds 5 assists and 4 steals before fouling out.
Cole Lamb scored a game high 29 points for the Mustangs, while Mitch Wike had 18 points and 8 rebounds.
