Andrews – The Lady Devils picked up their first win of the season Tuesday night, in their Smoky Mountain Conference opener. Swain used a strong 2nd half to push them to a 53-38 win over Andrews. In the final 16 minutes the Lady Devils outscored Andrews 32-23 to pull away and notch the win.
Swain got another impressive performance from freshman Mazie Helpman. Helpman scored a game high 20 points to pace the Lady Devils. Fellow freshman Savannah Smith chipped in 14 points, while Ashton Younce finished with 10 points and 9 rebounds. Taylor Collins also had 9 rebounds.
