Bryson City – Swain used a 18-8 run in the opening of the second half to blow open a close game and cruise to a 72-55 win, in their home opener last Friday, over Highlands. The largest Maroon Devil lead had been 6 in the first half, but the third quarter was the difference maker.
Senior Zeke Bradley filled up the stat sheet in leading the Devils. Bradley finished with 18 points, 9 rebounds 6 assists 2 steals and 3 blocked shots. Gaige Southards scored 14 points, while Jesse Waldroup finished with 13 points and 4 steals.
