Bryson City – Swain opened their 2018 volleyball season Monday by hosting Pisgah. The Bears jumped out front taking the first set 25-16. Swain bounced back in the 2nd set taking it by the score of 25-21. Pisgah took the 3rd by the score of 25-22 and the Lady Devils took the 4th set to force the 5th and deciding set. In it Pisgah jumped out to a huge 16-4, but the Lady Devils showed great resilience for the first match of the season. Swain got off the deck and slowly fought their way back to tie the score at 21 all. In the end Pisgah was able to close out the match and take the win.
