Hayesville – Swain swept the season series from Hayesville on Tuesday as the Devils took an 18-6 5-inning win over the Jackets. The Devils built a 16-2 lead over the first 3-innings and cruised the rest of the way.
Ian Brooks, Charlie Lambert and Brier Younce each had 3 runs batted in. Brooks finished 4-4 with a stolen base and a run scored. Gaige Southards, Caleb Taylor and Lambert all had 3 hits. Dawson Chambers and Caleb Taylor added a pair of rbi to the Swain attack.
On the hill Gaige Southards pitched a complete game for the Devils. Southards struck out 5 while only walking 1, scattering 9 hits.
