Hiwassee Dam – The Maroon Devils made short work of Hiwassee Dam on Monday by taking a 13-3 win in 5 innings. Swain built a commanding lead by scoring in each frame, including a 5 run 5th inning.
Gaige Southards and Hunter Call each had 3 hits for the Devils. Southards scored 3 times, while Call, Daniel Ammons and Dawson Chambers drove in 3 runs each. Ian Brooks added a pair of hits scored twice and drove in two runs.
Colby Taylor picked up the win on the mound, working all 5 innings. Taylor struck out 8 while walking only 1. He scattered 5 hits on only 75 pitches.
