Copper Basin – The Swain golf team travel to Copper Basin Golf Club on Tuesday. Braving the elements of the wind and the cold, Swain came out on top with the team total of 187. Murphy finished the day in second place with the 201 and Andrews third with a 251. Leading the Maroon Devils was senior Holden Petty with a 45, sophomore Isaac Baker with a 46, junior Nick Dole a 47, and seniors Brodie Bowman and Alec Lay both finishing with a 49. Thursday Swain will host Nantahala, Highlands, Rosman, Blue Ridge, and Cherokee at Smoky Mountain Country Club.
