Bryson City – Swain High School is proud to announce that senior Brodie Bowman has agreed to continue his football career at Carson-Newman University. Bowman, a three year starter at quarterback for the Devils, finished his career with 3164 passing yards, becoming only the 5th Swain quarterback to throw for over 3000 yards in his career. This past season Bowman threw for over a 1000 and also rushed for over 1000, becoming the first quarterback since Heath Shuler to accomplish such a feat. Bowman’s athletic ability and familiarity with the veer offense made him a perfect match for Carson-Newman’s football program.
