Bryson City – It was senior night last Friday, in a ceremony prior to the game the Devils honored Seth Parker and Brier Younce, their two seniors. Once the game began the seniors led their team to a thrilling 64-62 win over 2nd place Hayesville. The game was an exciting nail biter, remaining close throughout. In the 4th quarter Hayesville senior Josh Cottrell took over for his team, scoring 15 straight points during one stretch in the 4th. Cottrell’s heroics were almost enough to put his team over the top, but the Devils hung on down the stretch to take the win.
Seth Parker led Swain with 20 points. Junior center Zeke Bradley posted a triple-double to pace the Devils. Bradley finished with 19 points to go with 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Bradley Vestal tallied 12, while Brier Younce finished with 11.
