Andrews – The Maroon Devils played three games in the Andrews Christmas Tournament, winning two of those three. Swain downed Copper Basin in the opener 58-36, and then beat Nantahala 72-41 in their final game of the tournament. Hiwassee Dam scored a 72-57 win over Swain in the second game.
Game 1 – Swain 58 – Copper Basin 36 – Swain jumped out to an early first quarter lead and never trailed the rest of the way in taking the win. Zeke Bradley with 13 points and Bradley Vestal with 12 led the way for the Devils, while senior Tanor Parton scored a season high 9 points in the win. Bradley and Jesse Waldroup had 11 and 10 rebounds respectively.
Game 2 – Swain 57 – Hiwassee Dam 72 – The Maroon Devils couldn’t contain the hot shooting of the Eagles as Hiwassee Dam built a 40-26 halftime edge. Bradley Vestal finished with 15 points, while Zeke Bradley had 14 and Jesse Waldroup 11 for Swain. Bradley also added 11 rebounds.
Game 3 – Swain 72 – Nantahala 41 – Swain finished off the tournament with another win as they jumped out to a 38-17 lead at the half over Nantahala. Seth Parker paced four Maroon Devils in double figures with a game high 24 points, Gaige Southards had 16, Zeke Bradley 14 and Jesse Waldroup 12. Jesse Waldroup finished with 15 rebounds and 7 assists, while Bradley had 12 rebounds and 5 assists. Gaige Southards also dished out 7 assists for the Devils.
