Bryson City – The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is sponsoring the 1st East/West All-Star Football game. This first of it’s kind All-Star game will prominently feature several players from Swain, as well as a few coaches. Swain will be a part of the East squad, which will feature schools from the Smoky Mountain Conference as well as Brevard, Franklin and Smoky Mountain. The West squad will feature players from Pickens, Gilmer, Fannin, Union and Towns Counties.
Brodie Bowman headlines the Swain squad. Bowman (QB) will be joined by Ice Littlejohn (LB), Logan Loftis (DL), Trey Spates (OL), Dylan McLeod (WR) and Tanner Wiggins (P/RB).
Coaches for the East squad will be – head coach Matt Stack (Rosman), Assistant Coaches – Jeff Marr (Swain), Travis Brooks (Swain), Ken Dockery (Hayesville), James Phillips (Andrews), Gary Thompson (Murphy), Lucas Ford (Robbinsville), Jeff Rice (Rosman), Chris Brookshire (Smoky Mountain).
The game itself will be on Saturday December 16 at 1 o’clock at Fannin County High School.
