Bryson City – The Swain Soccer team had a hard fought game versus Blue Ridge last Wednesday Night. The three Swain Seniors Brody Randall, Chris Santoyo, and Preston Robinson were recognized before the game for the four years they have put into the Swain High Soccer program. Swain and 2nd Place in the Conference Blue Ridge previously met earlier in the season where Blue Ridge won 7-2.
Blue Ridge came out with a 3-0 win this time around. It was the first conference game all season that the leading scorer in the conference from Blue Ridge was held scoreless. Swain had 17 shots on goal, but they just could not find the back of the net.
On the defensive end Senior Preston Robinson led the way with 13 steals, followed by Sophomore Aiden Pond with 11 and Junior Joey King with 10. In goal Freshman Noel Wolf recorded 10 Saves. The MaxPreps player of the Game was Junior Joey King.
