Bryson City – It was a night in which the Lady Devils honored their 8 retiring seniors, along the way the Devils managed to sweep Cherokee 3-0 for a SMC win. Prior to the match Swain recognized seniors Alyssa Haymond, Alissa Smith, Mae Duncan, Brette Pattillo, Nacole Woodard, Makayla Riordan, Grace Cabe and Kyndle Jones. Then the Lady Devils took care of business with a 25-16, 25-16 and 25-10 victory.
Makayla Riordan and Taylor Collins paced the Lady Devil offense with 9 kills each. Kaitlin Anthony finished with 5 kills and 4 blocks. Mae Duncan had a game high 14 assists along with a kill, while Ashton Younce had 9 assists and 3 aces.
Swain hosts Hayesville Thursday in their final home match of the regular season.
