Bryson City – Wednesday the Maroon Devils got a surprise visit from Miss North Carolina. Miss North Carolina, Victoria Huggins stopped by and visited with the Maroon Devils prior to practice. Miss Huggins is a graduate of Johns Hopkins and UNC Pembroke. Huggins was crowned in June and will compete, representing North Carolina, in the Miss America Competition. Miss Huggins hails from Sampson County.
