Bryson City – Swain and Cherokee met on Monday night in soccer action. The two teams battled hard for the entire duration of the match. The game went into halftime tied 0-0 with Swain scoring twice in the second half to come out with the win. Noel Wolf had a stellar performance in the shutout with 12 saves and was the MaxPreps Player of the Game for Swain.
On the offensive end, Junior Asija Strohm and Junior Thiago Florencio found the back of the net for the Devils. Junior Trey Bowman added an assist.
On the defensive side the Devils controlled the defensive third of the field. Senior Preston Robinson recorded 19 steals followed by Junior Joey King, Freshman Chase Burrell, and Freshman Anthony Reyes with 11 each.
