Bryson City – Despite a sluggish performance the Lady Devils still had enough to put Hiwassee Dam away 3-0 on Tuesday. After three days off the off performance was predictable. Swain took the match by the scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-16, to move to 3-1 on the season. The Lady Devils turn to Smoky Mountain Conference play on Thursday as they host Robbinsville.
Senior middle hitter Grace Cabe paced Swain. Cabe finished with a match high 10 kills to go along with 5 aces (stats are unofficial). Brette Pattillo added 5 aces of her own in the win. Sophomore Kaitlin Anthony added 4 kills, a block and an ace.
