Bryson City – Friday during halftime of the Maroon Devils game with Tuscola, the Lady Devils 4×400 meter relay team received their State Championship rings. The 4×400 team won the State Championship in that event back in the spring. The ladies broke the old school record with a time of 4:13.1. Team members were Sierra Jackson, Mallerie Clampitt, Lynsey Hicks, Maggie Burns and Emma Pindur.
On top of the 4×400 meter team getting their rings, Emma Pindur also got her ring for her State Championship win in the 800 meter run. It marked Pindur’s 5th and 6th State Championship rings in her career.
