Chapel Hill – Swain’s Parker Chatham has been selected as the NCHSAA Region 8 male recipient of the 2017 Willie Bradshaw Memorial Endowed Scholarship for an outstanding male athlete. The NCHSAA selects one male and one female athlete per region to receive a $750 scholarship to further his or her educational endeavors. This also makes Parker a finalist for the Willie Bradshaw Memorial Endowed State Scholarship, which selects one male and one female out of the region winners to receive $1000 additional in scholarship monies.
The scholarship will be presented today, May 4th, at the NCHSAA Annual Board of Directors meeting.
