Cashiers – Swain posted another 1-hit shutout behind the pitching of Taylor Day. Swain scored in every inning but the fifth on the way to a 16-0 win over Blue Ridge on Wednesday. Day struck out 7 and walked only 1 in taking the win in the circle.
Grace Cabe, Erin Jenkins, Bryar Buchanan, Kenzie Eagleman, and Alyssa Haymond each had 2 hits for the Lady Devils in leading a well balanced offensive effort. Cabe would score 4 runs, drive in 3 runs and steal 3 bases. While Jenkins would score 3 times and drive in 2 runs. Eagleman and Taylor Day drove in 2 runs each. Kendall Bowers added 2 runs and 3 stolen bases to the Lady Devils attack.
