Bryson City – Rosman broke open a 4-3 lead by scoring 6 runs in the sixth inning Tuesday and took a 10-5 win over Swain. Rosman scored 2 runs in the top of the first to grab the lead. Swain answered with 2 of their own runs in the bottom of the first. The Maroon Devils took the lead in the third with a run, but the Tigers answered in the top of the fourth with a pair of runs to retake the lead at 4-3.
In the first the Devils got their 2 runs when Darren Blankenship and Ian Brooks scored. Blankenship scored on a fielders choice by Mikel Laws, while Brooks scored on a Tiger error.
It was Blankenship who gave the Devils their lead in the third. He coaxed a walk and then stole second base. Mikel Laws singled to center field to score Blankenship and give the Devils a 3-2 lead.
Blankenship would score again in the fifth after reaching on a fielders choice. Jordan McGaha doubled to score Blankenship. Earlier in the inning Dawson Lowe reached on an error. Lowe would score when Ian Brooks singled to centerfield.
Trae Bradley went 3-4 for the Devils. Darren Blankenship scored 3 runs, while Mikel Laws went 2-4 with a pair of rbi.
