Chapel Hill – The Smoky Mountain Conference Champion Maroon Devils will have the spoils of being the champion now, as they open the NCHSAA 1A Playoffs at home.
Swain, the #1 seed in the West and the #2 overall seed in the Region, will host East Surry who is the #16 seed in the MidWest and the #32 overall seed in the Region. Swain enters the game with an adjusted 19-1 overall mark and a 22-3 actual record. East is 9-11 (adjusted record) and 10-16 actual on the season.
