Bryson City – Cherokee sprinted out to an early 21-5 lead in the game’s first quarter on their way to taking a 70-51 win over Swain Thursday. The Braves defense stymied the Devils all evening, as they forced 31 Swain turnovers. The Smoky Mountain Conference reigning Player of the Year Pooh King, paced her team to the win. King finished with a game high 18 points to go along with 9 steals (both unofficial). Raylan Bark came off the bench to hand out 7 assists.
