Bryson City – The Maroon Devils came out firing on all cylinders taking a 26-5 first quarter lead and then cruising to an easy 86-25 win over visiting Blue Ridge. Despite being without two starters the Devils showed no ill effects, jumping out to the huge early lead. Swain got 38 points from their bench as every player scored on the night. The Devils smothering defense limited Blue Ridge to just 19% shooting for the game.
Senior guard Brett Treadway paced the Devils with a game high 15 points to go along with 8 rebounds. Nolan Arkansas and Evan Bradley chipped in 11 points each while Phinehas Little finished with 10. Bradley and Brier Younce had 4 assists each as well as 4 steals each.
