Bryson City – At the recent coaches conference, the Smoky Mountain Conference named their All Smoky Mountain Conference selections for the 2016 season. The Lady Devil’s senior, Ashley Winchester, and junior, Grace Cabe, were named All Conference for the season. Joining Winchester and Cabe were Tiffany Holloway (Andrews), Maddie Payne, Lexi Patterson, Kimonta Lloyd and Savanna Annis (Hayesville), Emma Stroup and Jessica Beckner (Murphy), Katie Walsh (Robbinsville), Allie Whitmire and Christa Galloway (Rosman).
Hayesville’s Maddie Payne was named the Smoky Mountain Conference Player of the Year, along with her coach Tammy Dills who was named as the Smoky Mountain Conference Coach of the Year.
Swain also had Gabby Jones and Alissa Smith who were named Honorable Mention All Smoky Mountain Conference.
