Bryson City – The Lady Devils entered Tuesday’s conference showdown with first place Hayesville, riding a 7 match winning streak. For Swain a shot at a conference championship was on the line. Coming out of the gates strong Swain shocked Hayesville by winning the first two games by the scores of 25-17 and 25-21. Following all of the momentum of the first two games the Lady Devils fell flat, dropping the next 3 sets to Haysville by the scores of 25-7, 25-11, and 15-10. The loss snapped the Devils winning streak and now leaves them with a pair of SMC losses. Swain travels to Murphy for their next match.
