Bryson City – The Franklin Panthers jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead over Swain on Friday and then cruised to a 45-7 win. Franklin scored three first quarter touchdowns before the Devils got on the board.
Swain’s lone score of the night came on a Brodie Bowman 15 yard run early in the second quarter. Bowman’s score capped a 10 play 82 yard drive by the Devils. For the game Bowman finished with 31 rushing yards to go along with 75 yards through the air.
Seth Parker, Dawson Lowe, and Brier Younce all had two catches each.
Dylan Smith averaged 44.8 yards per punt, including a career long punt of 57 yards.
Swain will travel to Tuscola this Friday for their final non-conference game of the season.
