South Stanly – South Stanly had 12 hits and scored 10 runs in shutting out the Maroon Devils 10-0 in the 1st round of the NCHSAA baseball playoffs on Tuesday. South scored 2 in the 1st, 5 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd and then 2 more in the 6th in advancing to the 2nd round.
Trent Wright, Trae Bradley and Zach Epps each had a hit for the Maroon Devils in the loss. Swain ends their season with a 6-12 overall record.
