Sapphire Mountain – The Swain High Golf team traveled to Sapphire National on Tuesday April 5th. They placed first overall with a team score of 182. The team was led by Junior Cameron Hampton who fired a 41. Juniors Brett Treadway and Grant Shuler shot a 45 and rounding out the top four spots for the Maroon Devils was Sophomore Holden Petty, who carded a 51. Also playing was Juniors Will Ogle 54 and Drew Johnson 58. The team beat Hayesville 190, Murphy 191, Blue Ridge 230, and Rosman 248. The team will be home on April 7th at Smoky Mountain Country Club. Tee time is set for 3:30.
