Bryson City – Swain scored 10 runs in the 3rd inning Tuesday on the way to an 18-2 conference win over Blue Ridge. The Lady Devils tallied in every inning on their way to their 5th win of the season.
Sydney Call went 3-3 with a pair of doubles and a triple to go along with 3 rbi and 3 runs scored. Grace Cabe added a pair of hits, scoring twice and driving in a run. Shayne Catolster and Callyn Brown drove in a pair of runs each. Erin Jenkins, Kendall Bowers, and Bryar Buchanan each scored a pair of runs, as everyone on Swain’s roster got into the game and had at least one at bat.
Megan Ammons picked up her first varsity win, working 3 innings. Ammons gave up 2 unearned runs, struck out 4 and walked 1. Gabby Jones worked 2 scoreless innings of relief striking out 3 and walking none. Ammons and Jones combined to give up only 1 hit on the day.
