Bryson City – Frank Maennle has been tabbed by the NC Athletic Directors Association to be inducted into their 2016 Hall of Fame Class. Maennle served as a coach for over 30 years at Swain High School and was the athletic director from 1997 until 2012. During his tenure as athletic director the Maroon Devils won multiple state championships in football and the school’s first ever state title in volleyball, as well as numerous individual state titles.
The NCADA Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be Monday March 21 at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, with a start set for 7 o’clock.
