Bryson City – The Maroon Devils gave up two unearned runs in the top of the 7th inning as Hayesville broke a 1-1 tie to take a 3-1 conference win over Swain. Swain tied the game in the bottom of the sixth when Dawson Lowe singled and later scored on a passed ball.
Swain’s Trent Wright pitched a gem scattering two hits over six and two thirds innings of work. Wright walked four and struck out two. Dawson Lowe, Stanley Taylor and Jordan McGaha accounted for the Devils three hits in the game.
