Bryson City – The Maroon Devil golf team opened their season with a first place finish on their home course. Swain shot a 167 team score on the day.
Returning starters Grant Shuler, who shot an even par 35, and Jack Cornblum 4 over 39 led the team. Rounding out the top four spots was Cameron Hampton with a 44 and Will Ogle and Holden Petty with a 49, respectively. Also playing in their first golf was Brett Treadway who shot a 58. The team will travel to Cherokee Hills in Murphy on Thursday the 10th.
