Bryson City – It was exactly the type of game fans have grown to expect between Robbinsville and Swain, hard fought, testy, and physical. The teams traded the lead for the first three quarters, before Swain posted a 22 point 4th quarter that allowed them to pull away and post a 69-61 win over the Knights.
For Swain it marked their 2nd game and 1st win since losing leading scorer Grant Shuler to a shoulder injury. Phinehas Little scored a game high 21 points to pace Swain in scoring. But in the end it was Brier Younce’s steady performance that put the Devils over the top. Younce turned in a gem, finishing with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals, 5 assists, and a pair of blocked shots for good measure. Junior guard Evan Bradley finished with 14 points, 4 assists and 4 steals.
