Cherokee – At the recent coaches conference, the Smoky Mountain Conference named their All Smoky Mountain Conference selections for the 2015 season. Swain’s senior setter Autumn Brown was named All Smoky Mountain Conference for her play this season. Joining Brown were Tiffany Holloway (Andrews), Maddie Payne (Hayesville), Lexie Patterson (Hayesville), Kaitlyn Edwards (Hayesville), Emma Stroup (Murphy), Erin Teesateskie (Robbinsville), Jenna Phillips (Robbinsville), Katie Walsh (Robbinsville), Callie Chappell (Rosman), Alex McNeely (Rosman), and Allie Whitmire (Rosman).
Hayesville’s Maddie Payne was named the Smoky Mountain Conference Player of the Year. Rosman’s Amanda McCall and Hayesville’s Tammy Dills were named Co-Coaches of the Year.
Swain had Faith Long, Gabby Lane and Grace Cabe who were named Honorable Mention All Smoky Mountain Conference.
