2015 HOF Inductee – Rod White

Coached football for 30 years • Head football coach for 12 seasons • Compiled a 94-59-1 overall record • Won State 1A Championships in 2001 & 2004 • 2nd most wins as a football coach in school history • Coached in 2002 East West All-Star game • 2004 WNC Coach of the Year • 2004 squad finished 14-0, only the 3rd time in school history with team finishing with an undefeated record • 2001 squad defeated a heavily favored and undefeated Williamston team for state title • Spent 18 seasons as assistant coach • All total was on the sideline for 390 Swain football games, with a combined record of 279-110, 7 State Championships and 14 SMC Championships • 16 times in his 30 years on the sidelines Swain won 10 or more games, including 4 times as a head coach • As a defensive minded coach and coordinator White was known as one of the greatest defensive minds in high school football
