• Mr Sneed served 52 years in the food service industry in Swain County, including running 3 different restaurants • Sneed’s Restaurant and NaBers Drive In were his primary restaurants in Swain County • Along with financial contributions Mr Sneed also provided many Swain athletic teams with pre-game meals • NaBers Drive In was THE place to be in the 1970s and 1980s, routinely hosting overflow crowds of Swain High students following football or basketball games • Mr Sneed was a World War II veteran serving as a Sargent in the Marine Corp • President of the Swain County Chamber of Commerce • Major financial supporter of the Broyhill Children’s Home • Helped many Swain graduates get started in career’s by providing advice and even co-signing loans
