Bryson City – After a rough start to their season the Lady Devils got themselves on track Thursday by taking a 3-2 conference win over Robbinsville by the scores of 9-25, 26-24, 19-25, 25-21, and 15-12. The win, the first for first year head coach Janet Shuler, must have seemed like a long time coming. Facing a brutal non-conference schedule the Lady Devils dropped their first six matches of the season before picking up win number one on Thursday.
Sophomore Grace Cabe paced Swain with a career high 16 kills. Senior Faith Long added 15 kills and 6 blocks, while fellow senior Autumn Brown dished out 13 assists and served up 4 aces.
