On the boys’ side, the 4×100 relay of Angel Bowers, Caleb Woodard, Shane Swimmer and Jordan Cody continued to excel, winning with a time of 46.1. Swimmer also won the long jump with a leap of 19’1 and placed second in the 400 in a time of 56.1. Cooper Reinert placed second in the 200 with a time of 24.8 and fourth in the 400 with a time of 57.2. Ben Miller placed third in the 110 hurdles and fourth in the 300 hurdles, while Bowers took third in the triple jump with a mark of 37’6”.
Murphy won the boys’ meet with a score of 148, followed by Andrews (69), Rosman (60), Swain County (57) and Highlands (16).
The Maroon Devils return to the track this Wednesday in Murphy.
