Bryson City – Swain Girls soccer tied Tallulah Falls School 1-1 yesterday afternoon at Boyce Deitz Field. Swain opened up strong controlling play early and notched their first goal midway through the first half. Sophomore Kylie Pond served a pass through the Indian defense catching senior Storm Ledford in stride. Ledford outran the Tallulah Falls defenders, beat the keeper one on one and scored to give the Lady Devils a 1-0 lead. The Indians scored midway through the second half to level the score. Since the game was a non-conference match there was no overtime and the game ended as a tie. Swain will travel to Smoky Mountain Thursday for a 5:00 pm match.
