Bryson City – It took 8 innings to decide the game, but Blue Ridge managed to push a run across in the top of the 8th and then retire the Devils in the bottom of the inning to take a slim 2-1 win.
In the top of the 8th Blue Ridge got back to back hits to start the inning. Swain looked as though they would wiggle out of the jam, but a wild pitch allowed, what turned out to be the winning run to cross.
For the Devils Jarrett Shuler led off the 2nd with a single, he would advance on a single by Jordan McGaha. Shuler scored the Devils run on a ball hit by Jamie Oocumma. Trae Bradley and Jake Marr also had hits for Swain.
On Monday the Devils traveled to Raburn Gap. In that one Raburn tossed a one hitter on their way to a 16-0 win. Briar Yonce singled for the Devils.
