Bryson City – Hayesville managed to push across three runs despite tallying only one hit Friday in taking a 3-0 win over Swain. The Maroon Devils managed three hits to go with 5 walks, but could not manufacture a run. On the other hand Hayesville had three walks and reached on two Swain errors.
Swain got outstanding pitching from Conner Cochran and Trae Bradley. The duo combined to strike out 18 and yield only one hit. All three Hayesville runs were unearned.
Matt Waldroup was 1-3 with 3 stolen bases. Trae Bradley and Jarrett Shuler both had hits for the Devils.
