Bryson City – Despite playing their best all around game of the season the Lady Devils couldn’t catch a break last Friday as they fell 47-45 to Highlands. Visiting Highlands took advantage of 30 free throw attempts to build a 13-6 advantage on made free throws for the game in taking the win. Swain had opportunities to tie or take the lead down the stretch but could not capitalize. For the game Highlands was 13 of 30 from the free throw line, while the Lady Devils were 6 of 10.
Taylor Medlin paced the Lady Devils with a game high 19 points, Medlin added 6 rebounds 4 blocked shots and 3 steals to round out her game. Freshman Lynsey Hicks added 14, 12 of which came in the second half, to go along with a team high 3 assists. Lydia Sale had 10 rebounds, while Taylor Shuler added 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
