Hall of Fame – The 2004 State 1A Champion Maroon Devil football team was inducted into the Swain County Athletic Hall of Fame.
- Won Swain County’s 7th State Championship • Finished with a perfect 14-0 record • Western Regional Champions • Smoky Mountain Conference Champions • Downed Southside 16-14 in NCHSAA State 1A Championship game • Scored 569 points for a 40.64 average per game • Gave up 125 points for 8.93 average per game • Accumulated 5,107 total yards on offense, while giving up only 2,858 • Outscored opponents 384-48 in first half of games • Featured 19 seniors • Set 9 individual and team school records • Had 3 first team All WNC selections
