The Maroon Devils attack the goal in action earlier this week
BRYSON CITY – A Blue Ridge loss earlier in the day gave the Maroon Devils a chance to claim 2nd in the Smoky Mountain Conference with a win over Andrews in their final game. Swain seized that opportunity by taking an 8-1 win on senior night. The Devils scored 4 first half goals and then cruized to the big win.
Scoring for Swain were Matt Mordhorst with 3, Nelson Pinto with 2, Russell Bigmeat, Trenton Sawyer, and Tyler Ellis.
Swain finishes the regular season with a 10-5-1 record. Playoffs will begin next Wednesday with teams to be seeded for the tournament by Monday.
